LAMPSHADE COURSES - WHAT TO EXPECT BOTH IN PERSON & ONLINE

“The course was very informative, perfectly structured and took into consideration everyone’s previous sewing experience. It was a pleasure to attend, the space is great for a small group and convenient to get to. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I look forward to attending another workshop soon”

Learning With Us In Person
Over The Course Of Two Days We’ll Show You How To Make Your Own Beautiful Gathered Or Pleated Lampshade Finished To A High Standard. Our Tutors Are Really Experienced Lampshade Makers Themselves And Love Sharing Their Knowledge And Passion With You.

There Is A Maximum Number Of 6 People Per Class And This Allows Us To Ensure You Get The 1:1 Help You Require Over The Two Days. It’s A Friendly And Relaxed Atmosphere. We Want You To Enjoy Learning With Us. While Sometimes People Book To Come With Friends It’s Quite Normal For Us To Welcome 6 Strangers At The Beginning Who Leave As Friends By The End. In General You All Have A Lot In Common - Not Least A Love And Appreciation Of The Glory Of A Good Lampshade!

Though You’ll Be Doing Some Hand-Sewing The Stitch Itself Once Demonstrated Is Quite Straightforward- If You Are Novice Sewer You Won’t Have A Problem Picking It Up.

There Are A Couple Of Stages Where Using A Sewing Machine Is Necessary. We Can Also Explain How To Create Your Shade Without A Sewing Machine At All, If This Is Your Preference. (However We Don’t Do This Method At The Class)

We Do Offer 1:1 Coaching As Well - Sometimes To Help Finesse Your Technique After The Course Or As An Adjunct To The Online Class. If You’d Like To Know More Just Email Lottie - Hello@Minervaworkshop.Co.Uk
